Service Description
A birth doula provides emotional and physical care and support for the birthing person and their family during labor while providing information, teaching labor positions to cope during contractions and breathing techniques to help concentrate. They also provide additional resources throughout the pregnancy, that helps the family prepare for the upcoming birth, and encourages the birth person to advocate for themselves. A doula is a key member of your support team that guides you to trust in your body, mind, and spirit. This package includes three scheduled postpartum sessions.
Cancellation Policy
Payment options vary and are presented at my discretion. The holding/retainer fee is non-refundable and is due at signing of the contract (unless otherwise stated). It is the doula’s top priority to provide the services described within the contract. Failure to attend the birth due to the doula’s error, the fee will be refunded less holding/retainers fee (unless otherwise stated). If failure is due to any of the following circumstances the full fee will be retained: 1. In the event birth is beyond anyone’s control (extremely rapid birthing process, circumstance caused by a major event – severe weather or acts of God) 2. The client fails to call & communicate with the doula, or 3. The client chooses not to utilize the doula after 24 weeks (about 5 and a half months), If for any reason doula services are no longer needed, a written, signed & dated – by both parties – statement to cancel services must be provided along with reason. Total fees already paid become non-refundable after 24 weeks (about 5 and a half months). In the event of a pregnancy loss, the doula will work with the clients in a case-by-case scenario. Doula will also refer Bereavement Doula at your request. Services rendered after the end of the package for postpartum (usually 3 visits) are $30-45/hour. This service will be invoiced accordingly. Schedules must be made for postpartum stages, if the client needs immediate attention that needs to be communicated appropriately. My schedule is open, and sessions must be scheduled. I will give you as much notice as possible that I will not be able to attend our session. Rescheduling is necessary by any other circumstance listed: 1. If you or someone in your family is ill, please communicate this. Depending on the illness and my other clients at the time, it may be best that I do not make visits until everyone is well 2. Please give 3+ hours of notice for any rescheduling (I understand things happen and I am willing to work with you.) 3. If I am called to a birth and unable to attend the session or need to leave early, I will reschedule accordingly. • Payments Methods I can take all forms of payments. Any neglect of payment(s) will result in legal action *Unless otherwise stated within your contract the fees are as is on this form.
